Animation, comics, zines… Some examples of my work in other media.

Stardust

Stardust

Stardust is a stop motion animation film I made in November of 2015 for an Art & Creativity class. It was so much fun to make, even the frustrating parts. The flaws are easy to see ( and hear – I’m no drummer ) but I’m proud of what I achieved.

The Selfies of Dorian Gray (A Modern Re-Telling)

The Selfies of Dorian Gray (A Modern Re-Telling)

Dorian Gray’s portrait has been painted, but does he really need it when he can post his own selfies? A short film submitted as part of a Web Media unit, remediating the book by Oscar Wilde.

The Prisoner comic remediation

My comic book remediation of the opening sequence from one of the greatest TV shows of all-time, The Prisoner. I made this in 2014 as part of a media unit, tracing over video stills in Photoshop. It was a clumsy way to do it but I learned a lot and had fun. You can view the original sequence here.

Derivative Zine

"Tell me more about how what you're doing isn't stealing..."

“A zine about how we use intellectual property, for anyone making their own content.”

Made as part of my university writing studies in June, 2016.

Waking up

Waking up

After a few early attempts that were really each just a series of stills (see above), Waking up is my first proper animation where the limbs move and everything. It was made in November, 2017 for an introductory animation unit using Adobe Animate. Hard work but fun.
