Before I turned forty, my kids suggested that as a kind of mid-life “bucket list” challenge, I should become a wizard. It was a perfect fit for me, so I accepted my new destiny.

Leaving aside spells and wands, I take being a modern wizard to mean seeing the world differently and challenging what we accept as real or normal.
